Teams invited to play major courses, win major prizes and support a major cause

The ‘Els for Autism Golf Challenge,’ is the largest charity-driven national golf series in the United States.
It comprises of 30 Super Regional events around the country with a Grand Finale in Las Vegas on October 23/24 and amateur golfers across the U.S. are being invited to take up the ‘Challenge’ by registering two-person teams for the event and in doing so raise funds for the Els for Autism Foundation.

Spearheaded by professional golfer and World of Golf Hall of Fame member Ernie Els, the Super Regional events will take place across the U.S. from May-September at TPC and handpicked private and public golf courses. Teams will compete for the chance to qualify for the Grand Finale in Las Vegas in October, where they will have the opportunity to win major prizes, including luxury trips to South Africa, South America and

England courtesy of Mantis and sets of Callaway golf clubs complete with bag and customized fitting.

In the Golf Challenge, a team’s fundraising skills will be valued as much as its performance on the course, and as such, both the winning team (using the Callaway scoring format) and the highest fundraising team from each Super Regional event will be invited to the Grand Finale. In addition, all teams that raise $10,000 or more also will earn a place at the Finale in October.

Once teams sign up they are given a dedicated team webpage to personalize, and send out to family, friends, co-workers etc...to ask them to sponsor their team. Essentially teams start competing the minute they sign up! Whilst fundraising is encouraged its not a pre-requisite of taking part.

Proceeds from the Golf Challenge will go to the Els for Autism Foundation to fund a Center of Excellence that will reach out and make therapeutic best practices available to families with children on the autism spectrum across the U.S. and internationally using a global digital learning platform

Every once in a while a cause resonates so profoundly that we need to take action. Autism is just such a cause for me because I know firsthand what families go through. My 8 year old son Ben is on the autism spectrum and I’ve been
through all the stages from
“why me” to “why can’t I fix this?”
But Autism does not affect just me; it is an epidemic affecting 1
in 110 people and their families. That’s why I have created the Els for Autism Golf Challenge. In addition to a national amateur golf competition we are also going to Challenge ourselves to make a difference by raising money to create the Els Center of Excellence.
Our goal is to make
Els Center for Excellence a model for the
world of what should be made available for children on the
autism spectrum.
